What are the requirements for the program?

To be an Intern or Trainee in America, you must the requirements set out by the US Government. Interns require less experience than Trainees.

Direct Placements:

Our program is exclusively for first-time direct placements providing a comprehensive support structure to get them ready to travel to camp. If you already have a candidate or referral then American Camp Co is here to help you get there.

Camp Intern and Trainee Program:

The Camp Intern and Trainee Program allows participants to work at camp for up to 18 months on a J1 visa, taking on administration roles. We will work side by side with you to determine a participant’s eligibility and create a custom multi-phase training plan directly related to their degree or field of study tailored for your camp.
